Turns out I forgot to "review" The Kite Runner in my brief reviews. So, a brief review.
Read it. It's good.
What? You want more detail? Fine.
I've heard great things about this book for a year or so. My mother was doing some pretty heavy pressuring to get me to read it. So I finally did. And I liked it. I did. It was moving, compelling, and interesting. Heartbreaking too. But, I have to say, predictable. The big twist was obvious about 100 pages before it was, I think, supposed to be. The ending was refreshing in that it wasn't a sheer happily-ever-after ending, but still hopeful. A bit too neatly-tied-up, but satisfying nonetheless.
It's worth a read, you know, in all your free time.
