Well, I'll be back to work tomorrow. I'm still coughing pretty hard, but I'm definitely feeling better and am incredibly happy about that. I'm still exhausted and weak, but the fact that I can function is a reason to be happy.
I'm back to teaching tomorrow. I only have two days of class left. I teach Monday and Wednesday, although we'll be workshopping the majority of both days. Then next Monday I've cancelled class in favor of hours of optional one-on-one conferences. I figure I'll just hang out in my office and if no students show up I'll catch up on grading and program assessment.
I graded my students' extra credit assignments yesterday, as well as their report rewrites. Today I finished their deliberation rewrites and I fixed the online gradebook to reflect the policies that they talked me into at the beginning of the term (their first assignment is to persuade me to change a course policy).
Tomorrow I'll try to grade their proposal posts and comments. I'll get their revised proposals tomorrow afternoon so I'll try to grade all of those on Tuesday. I've got the cop awards show (okay, that's not really what it's called, but that's what I'm calling it) Monday evening if I'm feeling up to it, so I won't be able to do any grading then.
Not sure why I'm telling you all this. I guess I'm just excited to be inching my way back into the world of the healthy and getting some work done. Bronchitis can linger, I know, but I no longer feel like I can't move, or like I'm actually rearranging my insides when I cough. I put that in the win category.
