International Dissertation Writing Month

Billie, over at Dissertation Boot Camp, (in cooperation with other blogs,) has declared November International Dissertation Writing Month. In that spirit, those of us who have signed up are keeping track of how many words we write in November. I've committed to 10,000. I'd like to commit to more, but the whole back surgery can-only-sit-for-ten-minutes thing makes it a little more difficult to write.

My job applications are "done" -- I have two more online ones to complete and then there will, I hope, be follow-ups where I'll need to send more materials, and of course I'll keep checking the job list and the chronicle, but the big push there is completed.

I do have to write my evaluations of TAs this week, but other than that, I'm reading for the diss so that next week I can write like a writing maniac.

Wish me luck!

PS. I put a little word meter at the bottom of the blog.
