Looking over that list in the previous post, I see how much I still have to do this summer. I'm currently in Madison with Billy and Anna, thinking about leaving either Friday or Saturday. If I leave Friday morning, I miss the fish fry and farmer's market. If I leave Saturday, I probably over-stay my welcome for a day, over-extend my bank account, and will get a later start than I'd like, but I'd get fish fry and Farmer's Market (read: excellent fresh cheese curds).
I also screwed up my foot pretty royally a few weeks ago. Dropped a big ass marble paper towel holder on it and, while it's not broken (maybe a hairline fracture, but we're not sure), I suffered a deep bone bruise with tendon damage/trauma. It's been a pain in the ass (well, foot). So the losing weight hasn't been happening, because I can't really exercise much. Plus I'm in the land of cheese and deep fry. Mmmm, deep fried cheese.
I've not gotten nearly enough work done while in WI, but it's been a wonderful vacation. I think I deserve two weeks off in the summer, but I'm going to have to get my ass royally in gear when I get back. I have a full draft of my embodied rhetoric article, but it needs work. And I still need to put together the sexual orientation unit for Expos 1, my course packet for Engl 400, and do some course planning for both. Plus other sundry items.
For now, though, Billy's making broccoli rigatoni for dinner and it's only 75 degrees in Madison. I'm a pretty happy camper.
