a good day at the end of the world

It's the end of the world. Why? Because on Monday it was 40 degrees. Today, less than a week later, it was 73. This is not normal. On Monday, by the way, school was closed due to flooding.

Flooding, people! Lewis Black would predict rain of toads next.

But, I do, in fact, feel fine. My husband and I took about a two hour walk in college woods, then went out for organic pizza. We woke up incredibly late today so that was basically our day. It's pretty rare that we get to spend an entire day together so, while I didn't get a whole lot done academically (although I did, in fact, comment on all of my students' final project proposals), I feel really really good. Hopefully that translates to some serious work-drive tomorrow. I've got a ton of grading to do.
