Chinese and Rogers

I've spent the last two days eating leftover Chinese food. Now, leftover egg rolls from what used to be called Lucky Garden are among my favorite things, but a few days of leftover egg rolls and shrimp lo mein and a girl starts to feel, well, icky.

But we ate pretty much all of our food before we went to PA and haven't been grocery shopping since we got back -- a week ago.

We're going tomorrow. I have visions of homemade jerk marinade and salmon steaks.

I've been rather productive as of late, so that's a plus. I've been reading A LOT about Rogerian rhetoric and am realizing that it probably is going to go into my lit review, not my invitational rhetoric chapter. I originally imagined that it was more closely related to invitational rhetoric, and it probably is, but there's too much to say about it, I think, to include it in that chapter without hijacking the chapter's focus. I would love to be able to talk with Foss and Griffin about the connections or disconnections between invitational rhetoric and Rogerian rhetoric. Maybe at Feminism(s) & Rhetoric(s). How many times can I write "rhetoric"?

On a bit of a bummer note, I have to go to campus AGAIN tomorrow to print out the final final draft of Transitions, AGAIN and overnight it to the publisher AGAIN. This is my fault, mostly, and the publisher (Bedford's) is being amazing about the fact that there were errors in the final draft -- that's not at all my complaint. The complaint is that it's supposed to be 95 and humid tomorrow and my right leg is really hurting. I have a Dr's appointment on Friday to see what's going on there. I imagine cortizone shots are next on the list of things to try. But walking, not so much fun these days.

Which makes the two days of Chinese leftovers even more ickifying.

But, tomorrow the Transitions manuscript will be done done, I'll do some photocopying that I needed to do this week anyway, and I'll probably just stick around campus reading until my husband gets off work and we go grocery shopping. So, by the end of the day, I should be able to check three things off my list: Transitions, photocopying, and grocery shopping. Hooray for a full fridge!
