Nothing new

Sadly, not much new to report. The steroids don't seem to have worked . . . yet. I think there's another week of hope, but I'm pretty sure they should have had some effect by now. To be honest, that's got me a bit down. But I'm still doing my best to keep up with my work. I should have a draft of my lit review by mid-week. Cool.

But the rest of this month is a flurry of social engagements, all of them incredibly important. Tonight, I may have said goodbye to Lee. He and Lisa are moving to New Mexico. I might see him this week, but I might not. They leave at the end of the week. Tomorrow, I say goodbye to Cara, who is moving to West Virginia for a PhD program. I absolutely hate that -- people leaving. but it's also the month where people are coming back. For a visit at least. Anne and G. are coming up this weekend for Garrett's dissertation defense (a glimmer of hope, there) and Biz is coming up to visit. Then, at the end of the month, Billy will be here for the Police concert. Excited about all of them. It's going to be hard to stay on track, work-wise, for sure, but these are my people -- some family, some extended family -- and so I'll find a way.
