Sort of productive?

It's a strange thing, not being able or allowed to sit for more than a half an hour at a time (this is one of the "conditions" of my back recovery. Apparently, for the rest of my life I'm not supposed to sit for more than a half an hour at a time. This is, of course, nearly impossible). It makes it easier to procrastinate, to be honest. Here's how work has gone today:

Get up. Do morning things like brush my teeth.
Write a few emails.
Watch 2nd half of Fox NFL Today.
Reread the 5.5 pages I wrote yesterday.
Better get up, so:
Watch 15 minutes of the Patriots v. Browns game.
Better get up again, so:
Find Ellworth article and skim
Gotta get up:
15 minutes of football
Write for 20 minutes
Better get up:
football
Get up
Skim other article
Get up
get snack
football
Get up
Write blog post

Hmmm.
So now I better get back up and try writing again
for 15-30 minutes
Before I have to get up again

Maybe, though, this will help me recognize that I actually can get something done in a half an hour or an hour, instead of assuming that a 1/2 hour isn't enough time to really do anything, so I might as well just watch Scrubs.

Not to be an ass..but can you lay down? Is that the same as sitting down? Beats me, but I like to beat the system like that sometimes!

I've not yet been good at that -- writing while laying down. Apparently I'm going to have to figure out how to do it. I should be writing a bit while standing, but haven't set that up yet.

And there's no assery involved. I appreciate any suggestions.
