Cop out

Well, this seems a cop out, as I haven't posted in so long, but I have a few minutes while I'm post-cleaning back-resting, and this seemed like the way to go. I get this meme ala Mike G at Fresh Comp who got it from Meagan over at Intent/Effect. So we can all blame them.

Do you own a gun? This seems like such a random question, particularly given the rest of these. I have this theory that this is somehow a hidden political poll. To answer: not personally.
What do you think of hot dogs? I dislike them immensely. Not because I think their contents are gross (I love Italian sausage), but because I don't like them. Period.
What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Nothing right away. If I don't have solid foods in my belly, liquids do bad bad things to me.
Can you do push-ups? Probably not after back surgery.

Do you own slippers? Not really. I'm more of a fuzzy socks chick.

What songs do you sing in the shower? Lots of different songs. Whatever is playing on my iPod, but Kane, Mike Doughty, Amy Milan, and Josh Ritter are favorites lately.

Best bed sheets as a child? "Okay, this is some kind of disposable income indulgence I’m not really that familiar with." I agree with Mike G here. I only had one set of sheets.
Worst injury you’ve ever had? I suppose the severely ruptured disc that required surgery
Are your parents still together? Not for a long long time.

What is your favorite book(s)? Too many to list, for sure, but I love all the Harry Potter books, Wuthering Heights, The Poisonwood Bible, Prince of Tides, Lying, and Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, to name a few.
What is your favorite candy? Just about anything with caramel in it.
How is the weather outside right now? Mostly cloudy and 19 degrees F.
What was your first thought this morning when you woke up? Better get up and start cleaning.

In other news, I didn't hit my 10,000 word mark, and I'm disappointed by that, but the job market is taking more time than I thought. I'll finish that chapter in the next few weeks, though. And the job market is a lovely "distraction" (so clearly not the right word) to have. No complaints here.
