The first day of spring semester is the day after tomorrow. That's freaking me out. I can't believe how quickly that break went by. I ran into a graduate student yesterday who disagreed: she said her break felt too long. I think that speaks well of her, and I'm excited that she's enrolled in my upcoming graduate course.
Me, though, I'd like another week to prepare. I have two classes ready and one class that's close. I was hoping to do a bunch of planning today, but I had a second cortisone shot in my back and, to be honest, it was a little brutal. It was much worse than the first one. So I'm super super sore and on painkillers. Not the best time to do course planning. I'm hoping tomorrow will be better. I have a lot of scanning and photocopying to do.
We have class on Friday, then Monday off, then I don't have class again until Wednesday, so I have a bit of a cushion to tie up any loose ends, but still, I'd love a week extra. Isn't that always the case?
