Delay

Sorry for the delay -- I should have posted days ago. For those who haven't already heard, I am officially Dr. Abby. I passed my dissertation defense on June 18th. I have some minor revisions to do, I need to reformat, and write my abstract and my acknowledgments, but I'll be done in a week or so. I haven't written about it in part because I also wrenched my back. I was panicked I'd be back at the doctor for it, and still could be, but it's feeling like it's on the mend today. I literally spent the last two days flat on my back. Pretty boring, plus it put me in a rather foul mood. I'm still taking it pretty easy today and will probably continue to do so tomorrow, but will need to be back to work soon to get those revisions and such done.

Anyway, exciting news, I think. It hasn't really sunk in yet, but a friend texted me yesterday morning, just randomly wishing me a "Good Morning, Dr. K." Kind of love it.
