I love the Olympics. I've loved the Olympics for years and years. And boy howdy am I loving these Olympics. I'm also loving my dvr, so that I can actually get some sleep. But I will watch just about any Olympic event that's on t.v. My favorites, though, are swimming, gymnastics, and diving. I'm surprised how much I enjoy volleyball (both beach and court). I get irritated about the differences between men's and women's floor routines in gymnastics, but for the most part, I'm loving these Olympics. The men's relay swim? On my feet. U.S. men's gymnastics high bar? Amazing. The Chinese vault? Almost unbelievable. And then Sasha Artemev on the pommel horse? In fact, the entire men's gymnastics team, after losing the Hamm twins to injury before the games. Having two alternates on the team. And, when no one thought they had a chance to medal, winning the bronze? In fact, giving the Japanese team a run for the silver for awhile? Fan-freaking-tastic.
LOVE the Olympics.
On the other hand, Season 7 of the West Wing is pretty boring.
